Preschool Registrations being accepted
St. John’s Preschool is currently accepting registrations for the 2011-2012 school year.
3 Year Old Class – Students must be 3 years of age before September 1st and be potty training. Class will meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings from
9 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. Non refundable registration is $60.00, which will also be the first month’s tuition.
4 Year Old Class – Students must be 4 years of age before September 1st and be potty trained. Class will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9 a.m. – noon. Non-refundable registration is $85.00, which will also be the first month’s tuition.

Disciple Recognition Luncheon to be held
On Sunday, August 14th, following the 10:15 a.m. This date has been set aside to honor all the disciples, who devote their time and talents for St. John’s ministries.
Lasagna will be served, along with other delicious foods prepared by our wonderful St. John’s chefs. Entertainment will be provided by the Cub Scouts as they demonstrate Pinewood Derby races. Come join us! Reserve a seat by calling the church office by August 7th.
Tetanus and Pertussis Booster Shots
Booster shots will be available for adult church members on Sunday, August 21, from 1-3:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall
The annual First Communion Retreat for children completing 3rd grade or higher and who are expressing an interest in receiving communion will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Weller Park’s Pavilion in Shamokin Dam beginning at 9:00 a.m. Contact Pastor Dale to register your child and get directions.
Easter Services will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 6:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., featuring St. John’s chime choir and Ensemble at 6:00 and St. John’s Bell Choir and Ensemble at 10:15.
Hoss’s Night for Preschool will be held on Thursday, April 28th. Get your tickets in the back of the church sanctuary, in the church office, or from any teacher. 20% of your dinner cost will be donated to our Preschool with that ticket attached to your bill. You may visit Hoss’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant at any time during the hours it is open on that day.
The Spring Rummage Sale is April 7, 8, and 9, 2011, in the Church’s Fellowship Hall. The hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Soup is available for pick-up during these times as well, and there is sometimes a limited quantity available for sale to those who did not place a pre-order, but it goes fast.
